Linda Barker

Linda D. Barker serves as Managing Director and General Counsel at Los Angeles Capital Management LLC, where she oversees legal strategy, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance for the firm's global investment operations. In her role, she advises senior management on legal matters impacting the firm's clients and ensures alignment with evolving industry standards and regulations. She is also the firm’s Chief Legal Officer, reporting directly to the CEO and playing a pivotal role in maintaining LACM’s risk management infrastructure.

Los Angeles Capital Management is a global quantitative equity manager specializing in dynamic, factor-based equity strategies across developed and emerging markets, including U.S. large cap, microcap, and world ex-U.S. equities. Barker’s legal leadership supports the firm’s work with a diversified range of equity strategies and asset classes, facilitating institutional investment solutions for clients worldwide.

Before joining Los Angeles Capital in 2013, Linda was Managing Director and Deputy General Counsel at Trust Company of the West and Special Counsel at Heller Ehrman LLP, with additional partnership experience at Hufstedler Kaus & Ettinger. She holds a J.D. from Loyola Law School and a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and English from the University of Southern California. Linda is recognized for her expertise in securities law, corporate governance, and investment management legal affairs, and has contributed significantly to the advancement of legal standards and governance in the investment management sector.
