Inbok Song is a Portfolio Manager at Matthews International Capital Management LLC, based in Davis, CA. She is responsible for managing the Pacific Tiger and Asia ex Japan Total Return Equity strategies and co-manages the Emerging Markets Sustainable Future and Asia Innovators strategies. Her key investment focus encompasses public equities in Asia and emerging markets, with expertise in high-growth companies across consumer, technology, and sustainability sectors.

Prior to her current role, Inbok held senior investment positions at Seafarer Capital Partners, serving as Portfolio Manager, Director of Research, and Chief Data Scientist, where she developed sophisticated research and quantitative tools for portfolio management. She previously worked at Thornburg Investment Management as an associate portfolio manager, and began her career in South Korea at T. Stone Corp. (private equity) and Samsung SDI (engineering and R&D).

Inbok holds both a B.A. and Master’s in Materials Science and Engineering from Seoul National University, a Master’s in International Management from King’s College, University of London, and an M.A. in Management Science and Engineering with a finance concentration from Stanford University. She is recognized for her leadership in integrating research and data science into emerging markets investing and is fluent in Korean.
