Ari Sass

Ari D. Sass is President and Senior Portfolio Manager at M.D. Sass Investor Services, Inc., where he oversees the firm's investment strategies, client relationships, and day-to-day operations. Under his leadership, the firm has launched the Concentrated Value strategy and grown assets under management beyond $2 billion by 2025, with a focus on serving institutional and high-net-worth clients.

Sass specializes in managing portfolios that target value equities—including out-of-favor or misperceived companies with significant upside potential—and fixed income securities such as U.S. Treasuries, agency bonds, and mortgage-backed securities. He plays a central role in shaping the firm’s focus on concentrated value equity strategies and high-quality fixed income allocations, utilizing a research-driven, opportunistic approach to generate attractive risk-adjusted returns for clients.

Before joining M.D. Sass in 2004, Ari Sass was CEO and co-founder of Insound, and previously held a finance manager role at Elektra Entertainment Group. He holds an MBA from NYU Stern and a B.A. in Economics from the University of Michigan, and has contributed to the evolution of M.D. Sass’s differentiated investment offerings, including seeding new hedge fund strategies and expanding the firm’s footprint in value and special situations credit investments.
