Minh Bui

Minh T. Bui is a Portfolio Manager at Parnassus Investments, LLC, based in San Francisco. He co-manages the Parnassus Fixed Income Fund, where he is primarily responsible for the selection and management of corporate debt securities, leveraging the firm’s integrated research process focused on sustainable investing and ESG criteria. In addition to his portfolio management responsibilities, he serves as a senior research analyst, providing fundamental company analysis to inform both equity and fixed income strategies.

Mr. Bui has over 15 years of investment management experience at Parnassus Investments, including previous stints as Portfolio Manager of the Fixed Income Fund from 2008 to 2013, after which he shifted focus to research before returning to portfolio management in 2020. His sector expertise lies in US investment-grade corporate bonds as part of the firm’s fixed income offering, with added responsibility for integrating ESG and socially responsible screens within that asset class.

Before joining Parnassus, Mr. Bui held positions at Lombard Odier & Cie, a private bank in Geneva, and at Merriman, Curhan Ford & Co., an investment firm in San Francisco. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Lausanne, Switzerland, and an MBA from Golden Gate University, underscoring his deep expertise in both fundamental investment research and portfolio construction.
