Samantha Palm

Samantha Palm is a Portfolio Manager at Parnassus Investments, LLC, based in San Francisco, CA, where she leads the firm’s fixed-income strategies, particularly the Parnassus Fixed Income Fund. She chairs the firm’s fixed-income committee and is recognized for expanding the ESG footprint within the fixed-income space, overseeing top-down strategic positioning, risk assessment, and engagement with issuers on sustainability factors. Samantha's investment focus spans green and sustainable bonds, investment-grade corporates, and sector-specific analysis within financials, plumbing, paint, and home improvement industries as part of her efforts to capitalize on low-carbon transition opportunities.

Prior to joining Parnassus in 2013, Samantha Palm served as Vice President in the fixed income group at Wells Fargo Securities, and worked as an equity research analyst at Robert W. Baird & Co., bringing more than a decade of capital markets experience. She is also Sector Head for Financials at Parnassus and sits on all the smaller sector teams, contributing to the firm's broad-based ESG strategy.

Palm earned her Bachelor of Science degree with honors in Applied Economics from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She is noted for pioneering advocacy in ESG fixed income, leading her fund to become a recognized force in sustainability-oriented asset management, and for her continuous industry engagement driving progress in responsible investment practices.
