Gregory Shea

Gregory Shea, CFA, is a Senior Portfolio Manager at Segall Bryant & Hamill, LLC, based in Denver, CO. In this role, he leads fundamental credit research and manages several fixed income strategies, including Short Term Fixed Income, Quality High Yield Fixed Income, and Current Income portfolios. Shea specializes in managing portfolios focused on short duration and high yield bonds, particularly those rated BB, targeting clients who seek competitive yields with a strong emphasis on risk management and capital preservation.

Before joining Segall Bryant & Hamill in 2018, Shea held senior positions at Denver Investments, where he served as Partner, Portfolio Manager, and Credit Research Analyst for a decade. Earlier in his career, he was Vice President and High Yield Credit Analyst at Lehman Brothers, gaining extensive experience in credit analysis and research across corporate bond markets.

Shea earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with concentrations in Accounting and Finance from Washington University. He is recognized for integrating environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors into his investment process and has contributed to strategies that have received industry recognition, including the Zephyr PSN Top Guns award for Quality High Yield Fixed Income management.
