Matthew Monson

Matthew Monson is a Partner and Portfolio Manager at Sovereign’s Capital, based in Denver, Colorado, where he leads the firm's public equity investment strategy. His primary responsibility is managing the Flourish Fund ETF (SOVF), which focuses on U.S. public companies led by faith-driven CEOs who foster exceptional corporate cultures prioritizing employee flourishing and servant leadership. Monson seeks investment opportunities in sectors where values-aligned leadership is demonstrably correlated with both strong financial performance and meaningful positive impact.

Before joining Sovereign’s Capital in 2021, Monson held investment analyst roles at ArrowMark Partners and Deccan Value Investors, building a career that spans investment banking, private equity, and public equity investing. His experience provides him with deep expertise in company assessment, portfolio construction, and values-based investment across various industries within the public equity asset class.

Matthew Monson earned an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management and a BSB in Finance and Marketing from the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management. He is recognized for advancing faith-driven and impact-oriented investing within the U.S. public equity market, notably through the development of strategies that align capital with both kingdom impact and financial returns.
