Aash Shah

Aash Shah is the Head of Investments and Senior Portfolio Manager at Summit Global Investments, based in Salt Lake City, Utah. In this role, he leads investment strategy, portfolio construction, and research for the firm, focusing on managing risk, optimizing asset allocation, and delivering consistent returns for institutional, family office, and private wealth clients. His remit includes oversight of global equity, enhanced global income, U.S. large cap and small cap core equity portfolios, and alternative strategies, with a particular emphasis on low-volatility and market leader strategies within equities.

With more than three decades of investment management experience, Aash previously served as Vice President and Senior Portfolio Manager at other leading investment firms before joining Summit Global Investments. He is recognized for his expertise in multi-asset allocation, quantitative and fundamental research, and innovative risk management approaches, contributing to the development of benchmark-sensitive and thematic equity strategies, including ESG and impact investing.

Mr. Shah holds a Master of Business Administration in Finance and Accounting from Carnegie Mellon University – Tepper School of Business and a Bachelor’s in Industrial Engineering from the University of Pittsburgh. His significant industry achievements include pioneering risk-focused portfolio optimization techniques and active engagement with portfolio companies to advance sustainable practices and ESG risk management.
