Ajay Krishnan

Ajay Krishnan, CFA, is a Lead Portfolio Manager at Wasatch Advisors LP (Wasatch Global Investors) in Salt Lake City, Utah. He serves as the head of emerging markets investing and is a member of the global research team, with key responsibilities overseeing strategies and portfolios across global small cap and emerging markets equities. Mr. Krishnan also sits on the firm's Board of Directors and has been with Wasatch since 1994, bringing over 30 years of investment industry experience.

Ajay Krishnan focuses on emerging markets and international equities, serving as lead portfolio manager for the Wasatch Emerging India, Emerging Markets Select, Global Small Cap, and Emerging Markets Small Cap strategies. His expertise lies in identifying high-quality, long-term growth opportunities in markets such as India and small-cap companies globally, leveraging extensive on-the-ground research, particularly in India, which he has visited regularly since 2002.

Mr. Krishnan holds an MBA from Utah State University and a Bachelor of Science in Physics with a minor in Mathematics from Bombay University. He is a CFA charterholder and has been recognized for applying the Wasatch investment style abroad, contributing to the firm’s expansion into international markets and the strong performance of its global and emerging markets funds.
