Ajay Krishnan

Ajay Krishnan, CFA, is a Lead Portfolio Manager at Wasatch Advisors LP (also known as Wasatch Global Investors), based in Salt Lake City, Utah. He joined the firm in 1994 and currently oversees several equity strategies, serving as the head of emerging markets investing and as a member of the global research team. Mr. Krishnan also sits on the firm's Board of Directors and has nearly 30 years of experience in the investment management industry.

Krishnan is the lead portfolio manager for multiple funds, including the Wasatch Emerging Markets Select, Wasatch Emerging India, Wasatch Global Small Cap, and Wasatch Emerging Markets Small Cap strategies. His investment focus centers on global small-cap and emerging markets equities, with deep expertise in India and other fast-growing emerging markets. He is known for conducting extensive on-the-ground research, traveling regularly to source insights and evaluate companies, especially in India where he has been investing since 2002.

Mr. Krishnan holds an MBA from Utah State University and a Bachelor of Science in Physics with a minor in Mathematics from Bombay University. He is a CFA charterholder and has previously served on the Investment Committee of Cross Creek Advisors LLC, further enriching his perspective on global growth companies and early-stage investments.
