Trey Sheain

Trey Sheain is a Portfolio Manager at Pennington Partners & Co. based in Houston, TX, where he manages multi-asset portfolios for ultra-high-net-worth families and entrepreneurial investors. He specializes in strategic asset allocation and risk management across both public and private markets, with particular expertise in equities, fixed income, alternatives, and opportunistic investments.

Before joining Pennington Partners, Trey was the Director and Co-Head of Public Markets at Alfred I. duPont Charitable Trust, overseeing a $9 billion foundation portfolio dedicated to pediatric healthcare. He also served as an Investment Officer at Johns Hopkins University's endowment, managing diversified allocations across global equities, fixed income, hedge funds, and private capital. Earlier in his career, Trey gained additional experience at Gallagher Fiduciary Advisors and T. Rowe Price.

Trey holds an MBA in Finance from Johns Hopkins University - Carey Business School and a BA in Economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is a CFA Charterholder, a Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA), and holds the Certified Private Wealth Advisor® (CPWA®) designation, marking his expertise in investment management and private wealth advisory for sophisticated investors.
