David Posner

David Posner is a Partner and the Global Head of Investor Relations and Business Development at Farallon Capital Management, L.L.C., having joined the firm in 2015. In this leadership role, he oversees the firm's investor relations, global fundraising activities, and the development of new business relationships, working closely with institutional clients and driving the firm’s capital formation strategies.

Prior to Farallon, Mr. Posner was responsible for international fundraising and investor relations at First Reserve Corporation, a private equity firm focused on energy and infrastructure investments, and held a similar position at Davidson Kempner Capital Management. He also has direct experience as a private equity investor, providing him with a strong foundation in alternative asset management, particularly in sectors such as energy, infrastructure, and broad multi-asset hedge fund strategies.

Mr. Posner graduated summa cum laude from UCLA with a B.A. in Economics and International Area Studies and earned an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School. He is recognized for his expertise in investor relations and his contributions to expanding the reach and depth of alternative investment platforms globally.
