Joe Mathias

Joe Mathias is a seasoned investment professional who served as Vice President of Investments at GMT Capital, a multi-billion-dollar private investment company based in Atlanta, Georgia, from 2002 to 2008. At GMT Capital, he was responsible for portfolio management in the Media, Technology, and Telecommunications sectors, overseeing investment strategies and sector research.

Prior to GMT Capital, Mathias was the Vice President of Corporate Development at WebMD, Inc., and earlier in his career, he focused on private equity investments in the media sector, notably sourcing and managing radio stations as Founder and General Partner of Benchmark Communications. After GMT, he founded Concourse Capital and has led investment efforts in long-short equity strategies, highlighting his expertise in public equities.

Mathias holds a B.A. from Principia College and an M.B.A. from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, and maintains a FINRA Series 65 license, reflecting his strong credentials in investment management and advisory services.
