Matthew Porter

Matthew Porter is a Research Analyst at King Street Capital Management in New York, NY, where he contributes fundamental research and investment analysis for the firm’s credit-focused strategies. His responsibilities include sourcing, evaluating, and monitoring public and private credit and special situations across various sectors, with a particular emphasis on distressed debt and opportunistic credit investments—core focus areas for King Street Capital Management.

Prior to joining King Street, Mr. Porter served as a Senior Research Associate at Capital Group, where he specialized in credit analysis, portfolio construction, and the identification of value opportunities within corporate fixed income markets. He previously held the role of Credit Portfolio Manager at BlackRock, further enhancing his expertise in high yield, leveraged loans, and investment grade credit strategies.
