Kevin Horan

Kevin Horan is an Equity Options Trader at Simplex Trading LLC, based in Chicago, IL, where he has held this role since December 2020. At Simplex Trading—a leading proprietary trading firm specializing in U.S. equity options—he focuses on pricing, executing, and risk-managing complex options strategies within the equities market.

Kevin’s expertise centers on equity and interest rate derivative products, with particular experience in U.S. equity options and interest rate options markets. Before joining Simplex Trading, he spent over four years as an Interest Rate Options Trader at Marquette Partners and also held a trading position at Icarus Trading, where he further developed his skills in volatility and fixed income derivatives.

He is an alumnus of John Carroll University, which provided a foundation for his analytical rigor in the financial markets. Throughout his career, Kevin has contributed to the advancement of quantitative trading strategies and risk systems in the highly competitive and technology-driven options market.
