William Murray

William Murray, CFA, CAIA, is a Partner at Chicago Partners Wealth Advisors in Chicago, IL, where he focuses on portfolio management for high-net-worth individuals and institutional clients. He specializes in small cap equities and the technology sector, bringing a deep expertise in both fundamental analysis and ESG (environmental, social, and governance) investing to the firm.

Prior to joining Chicago Partners in 2020, Mr. Murray served over 25 years as Director and lead portfolio manager at Chicago Equity Partners, where he managed the firm’s small cap products and led initiatives in the technology sector as well as ESG strategies. He began his investment career as an Investment Officer at Bank of America, gaining experience across a diverse range of asset classes and client types.

Mr. Murray holds a Master of Management from Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management and a BS in Marketing from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA), recognized for advancing ESG integration and small cap investment strategies in the industry.
