Alison Svizzero

Alison Svizzero is a Portfolio Manager at Choate Investment Advisors in Boston, MA, with over twenty-one years of investment management experience. In her role, she works closely with clients and the firm’s Wealth Management group to provide customized solutions that address clients’ wealth management needs and long-term investment objectives. She has been recognized for tailoring portfolio management strategies, including for complex individuals, businesses, and pooled investment vehicles, and she heads private equity investing at the firm.

Before joining Choate Investment Advisors, Alison served as Director of Investments at Boston Children’s Hospital, where she was responsible for sourcing and evaluating investment strategies, managing risk, overseeing liquidity, and helping to significantly grow institutional assets. Earlier, she was the Interim Chief Investment Officer at Brandeis University, leading the endowment investment function. Throughout her career, Alison has developed expertise across multiple asset classes, with a particular focus on alternative investments such as private equity, as well as public equities, fixed income, and implementation of ESG criteria in investment analysis.

Alison holds a Master of Business Administration from Babson College and a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Bryant University. Her significant contributions to institutional investment management and her leadership in expanding and refining investment processes have been notable in the endowment and nonprofit sectors, as well as for high-net-worth and complex client portfolios.
