Andrew Wetzel

Andrew Wetzel is Senior Vice President and Portfolio Manager at F.L.Putnam Investment Management Company, based in Boston, Massachusetts. In this role, he oversees the firm's Sustainable Opportunities, Low Carbon US Core Equity, and Focused Environmental Opportunities strategies, with responsibilities that include fundamental active equity management and leading the firm’s research efforts, especially around ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) integration and sustainable investing.

He specializes in sustainable equity investing across sectors such as alternative investments, asset allocation, and portfolio management, focusing on aligning client portfolios with environmental and social values. Wetzel is deeply involved in research covering security selection, sector analysis, market and thematic trends, and the development of strategies that reflect clients' values and environmental objectives, particularly in low-carbon and fossil fuel-free investments.

With over two decades at F.L.Putnam, Wetzel progressed from Research Analyst to SVP and Portfolio Manager, demonstrating expertise in security analysis and portfolio construction. He holds an MSIM in Investment Management from Boston University's Questrom School of Business and is a CFA® charterholder. Notably, he serves on the CFA Society of Boston’s Sustainable Investing Task Force and contributes to community organizations such as Roca, Inc., emphasizing his leadership in sustainable investment practice and industry advocacy.
