Richard Schneider

Richard Schneider is Vice President and Senior Portfolio Manager at Fort Washington Investment Advisors, Inc., based in Cincinnati, OH. In this capacity, he leads the firm’s Securitized Products desk and is responsible for overseeing strategies focused on sectors such as commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS), residential mortgage-backed securities (RMBS), asset-backed securities (ABS), and other structured credit investments.

Schneider brings more than two decades of investment management experience, having previously served as Managing Director at Mesirow Financial, and as Director at Loop Capital Markets, where he focused on fixed income and securitized product strategies. His expertise encompasses relative-value analysis, sector allocation, and customized fixed income solutions for institutional clients, with a particular emphasis on multi-sector securitized portfolios.

He holds an MBA in Finance and a BS in Mathematics from the University of Notre Dame. Schneider is recognized for his disciplined approach to credit markets and has played a key role in developing strategies for securitized fixed income that target higher yield and risk-adjusted returns while maintaining prudent risk controls.
