Vivian Pan

Vivian Pan was a Senior Co-Founding Partner and Chief Investment Officer at Hamlin Capital Management, LLC, an income-oriented investment advisory firm based in New York, NY. She played an instrumental role in the firm's growth over more than two decades, steering Hamlin's strategies in high-dividend equities and fixed income, with a particular focus on municipal bonds and income-generating investments for high net worth clients.

Before her distinguished career in investment management, Dr. Pan held analytical and research roles at the U.S. Department of Energy, served as a Congressional Science Fellow on the U.S. Senate Committee on Governmental Affairs, and was a faculty research associate at Arizona State University. Her broad expertise included macroeconomic analysis, securities research, and portfolio management, with a commitment to rigorous fundamental analysis and client-focused solutions.

Dr. Pan held an undergraduate degree in chemistry and geology from Binghamton University (SUNY) and earned both an M.Phil. and a Ph.D. in geology and geophysics from Yale University. She was also recognized for her leadership outside of finance as Board Chair of Studio in a School and service on the investment committees of major nonprofit organizations, and she was a former Chair and Governor of the Investment Adviser Association, highlighting her contributions to both the investment profession and her community.
