Matthew Sanders

Matthew Sanders is a Senior Investment Research Analyst at HB Family Office (formerly WMS Partners), based in Baltimore, MD. In this role, he leads research and due diligence on both domestic and international equities, with a particular focus on exchange-traded funds (ETFs), mutual funds, and oversees the Peachtree Alternative Strategies multi-strategy hedge fund of funds. He is additionally involved in evaluating private real estate investments and alternative asset classes, aligning diverse portfolio strategies to the firm’s high-net-worth and family office clients.

Matthew joined HB Wealth in January 2025 after two years as an Investment Research Analyst and Investment Intern at WMS Partners, where he developed expertise in public and private market manager selection and contributed to asset allocation decisions. His experience spans both traditional and alternative investments, providing clients with insights into portfolio construction and cross-asset class research.

He holds a Master of Science in Financial Mathematics from Johns Hopkins University - Carey Business School and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Data Analytics from Goucher College. Matthew is currently a CFA Level II candidate, and is recognized for his analytic rigor and multi-asset class research capabilities, particularly in the evaluation and ongoing monitoring of ETFs, mutual funds, and alternative strategies.
