Jim Shay

Jim Shay is an Assistant Portfolio Manager at Kornitzer Capital Management, Inc., based in the Kansas City metropolitan area. In this role, he is responsible for supporting the management of private client portfolios, applying his expertise in multi-asset allocation, portfolio construction, and risk assessment to meet clients' long-term financial objectives. While his current investment focus is on private wealth management, Kornitzer's team—including Shay—serves high-net-worth individuals and institutions with customized portfolios that typically span U.S. equities, fixed income, and diversified asset classes.

Prior to joining Kornitzer Capital Management in 2023, Shay worked as a Financial Advisor at UBS from 2018 to 2022 and at Merrill Lynch Wealth Management, Bank of America Corporation from 2016 to 2018. In these roles, he advised clients on strategic asset allocation, retirement planning, and overall wealth preservation, gaining substantial experience in both advisory and discretionary portfolio management environments.

Shay holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance and Accounting from the University of Kansas, which underpins his analytical and research skills within the investment sector.
