Glenn Johnson

Glenn E. Johnson is a Portfolio Manager at Mairs & Power Inc. in Saint Paul, MN, where he has served since February 2010. In his current role as Senior Vice President and Director of Portfolio Management, he supervises portfolio management activities, equity research, and investment risk management, sharing oversight of advisory business results with the firm’s executive leadership.

Johnson’s investment expertise centers on managing portfolios with a focus on Midwestern companies and blue-chip equities; he is notably involved in covering consumer discretionary stocks and regional industry leaders. Earlier in his career, Johnson worked as an Equity Analyst with Piper Jaffray, First Trust Company of Saint Paul (where he became a Portfolio Manager), First American Asset Management, and as a Senior Investment Manager with Wells Fargo Wealth Management Group for eleven years.

He holds a BA from the University of Minnesota and an MBA from the Carlson School of Management, and is a CFA charterholder. Johnson has contributed to the investment industry through his leadership in portfolio strategy and his active volunteer roles on investment committees for philanthropic foundations in the Saint Paul area.
