Mark Henneman

Mark Henneman is Chairman of the Board and Investment Manager at Mairs & Power, Inc., Minnesota’s oldest independent investment advisory firm, where he leads the board’s activities, oversees firm strategy, and manages investment portfolios for advisory clients. A member of Mairs & Power’s Investment Committee and executive to the firm’s venture capital division, he has played a central role in expanding the firm's service offerings, including the launch of its first municipal bond ETF and growth into private equity.

Throughout his career, Henneman has focused on long-term equity investments, with particular expertise in mid- and large-cap companies headquartered in Minnesota and the Upper Midwest, spanning sectors such as industrials, health care, financials, and technology. He served as lead or co-manager of the Mairs & Power Growth Fund from 2006 to 2020, building a performance record rooted in regional expertise and high-quality business analysis.

Henneman’s prior experience includes investment leadership roles at U.S. Bancorp Asset Management, where he was Process Leader for Mid- and Large-Cap Value Investments, and as Vice President and Portfolio Manager at Advantus Capital Management. He holds a BA from Gustavus Adolphus College, an MBA from the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Management, and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
