Mo Cheston

Mo Cheston is a partner at Northside Capital Management, LLC, based in the San Francisco Bay Area, where he has been since 2009. He is principally involved in investment research, manager diligence, evaluating macro and market conditions, portfolio and risk management, and client service. He works closely with clients to build forward-looking investment portfolios across a wide range of global asset classes.

Cheston’s investment expertise includes originating and executing equity offerings for emerging growth companies, particularly in sectors such as technology, healthcare, consumer, and alternative energy. Prior to joining Northside, he was Managing Director at Thomas Weisel Partners, where he started the Equity Capital Markets Department and ran Equity Syndicate, and was responsible for working with clients such as mutual funds, small cap managers, and hedge funds. Earlier in his career, he held positions at Pilgrim Baxter & Associates, Bluewater Capital Management, and began at Montgomery Securities in the Consumer Investment Banking Group.

He holds an A.B. in History and a Certificate in American Studies from Princeton University. Throughout his career, Cheston has been recognized for his leadership in structuring high-profile equity transactions and for guiding clients through complex market environments, consistently focusing on emerging growth and innovation-driven sectors.
