Bryan Wong

Bryan Wong is a Partner and Portfolio Manager at Osterweis Capital Management, where he is responsible for the firm's small cap growth strategy. He co-manages the Osterweis Emerging Opportunity Fund (OSTGX), with a focus on identifying high-growth, innovative small-cap companies across sectors such as technology and healthcare. His investment approach emphasizes uncovering "hidden gems" with strong long-term potential, leveraging an absolute valuation discipline within a concentrated portfolio, typically holding 30 to 40 names.

Bryan has dedicated his career to active management in inefficient markets, especially U.S. small caps, and is recognized for his expertise in companies benefiting from secular growth and innovation tailwinds. Prior to joining Osterweis in 2014, he was part of the investment team managing the endowment at the David and Lucile Packard Foundation and previously worked as an analyst at a long/short hedge fund and as a research analyst at Parnassus Investments.

He holds an MBA from Berkeley's Haas School of Business—where he was an Investment Management Fellow—and a B.A. with distinction from Yale University, majoring in Political Science and International Studies. Bryan is a CFA charterholder, contributes to industry thought leadership, and serves on the investment committee of the Asian Pacific Fund.
