Chad Schlett, CFA, MADS

Chadwick Schlett, CFA, MADS, is Vice President of Portfolio Strategy at Rothschild Investment LLC in Chicago, where he leads the firm’s portfolio strategy and wealth advisory initiatives. In this role, he oversees client asset allocation, develops integrated investment proposals, and provides market and investment commentary tailored for clients and prospects. He is responsible for analyzing macroeconomic and market data, implementing investment strategies, and helping high-net-worth individuals and families with comprehensive portfolio management.

Chad specializes in value investing and has a strong background in equity research, having started his career at Rothschild focusing on equity ideas for client portfolios. He also contributes expertise to alternative asset classes through his previous role on the firm's Alternative Investment Committee, supporting clients with exposure to alternatives, tax optimization, and creative investment solutions. His work spans equities, alternative investments, and integrated multi-asset portfolio construction for affluent clients and businesses.

Chad holds a Master’s in Applied Data Science (University of Michigan), is a CFA Charterholder, and graduated cum laude with a BSBA in Finance from Xavier University. He notably passed all three CFA levels on his first attempt and was in the inaugural cohort for Michigan’s MADS program, underscoring his quantitative rigor and commitment to using advanced analytics in investment management. Over more than a decade at Rothschild, he has distinguished himself as a trusted advisor to sophisticated investors in the Chicago region.
