Dan Brazeau

Dan Brazeau, CFA, serves as Senior Vice President and Portfolio Manager at Weatherbie Capital, LLC, and plays a key co-portfolio management role on the Alternative Strategies team at Fred Alger Management, LLC. He is primarily responsible for the Alger Dynamic Opportunities and Weatherbie Long/Short strategies, focusing on U.S. equity markets with a specialization in long/short hedged equity strategies.

Brazeau’s investment expertise encompasses growth equities, particularly within small- and mid-cap U.S. companies, and he utilizes a bottom-up, fundamental research process to identify innovative firms undergoing positive dynamic change. His portfolio management responsibilities include constructing diversified equity portfolios across sectors such as technology, healthcare, consumer discretionary, and industrials, emphasizing companies with high earnings growth and competitive advantages.

With an MBA in Finance from The Wharton School and a B.S. in Finance from Villanova University, Brazeau brings more than two decades of investment experience. Prior to joining Alger/Weatherbie, he served as a Global Research Analyst at Wellington Management and has been instrumental in building and managing multi-sector growth and alternative strategies portfolios for institutional clients.
