Eric Marshall

Eric J. Marshall, CFA, serves as President, Co-Chief Investment Officer, and Director of Research at Hodges Capital Management in Dallas, Texas, where he leads the firm’s investment strategy and oversees all research activities. Since joining Hodges in 1997, Marshall has co-managed key mutual funds including the Hodges Small Cap Fund (HDPSX), the Hodges Fund (HDPMX), and the Hodges Intrinsic Value Fund (HDSVX), focusing on bottom-up, fundamental analysis to uncover undervalued opportunities across the equity markets.

Marshall and his team specialize in small- and mid-cap U.S. equities, with particular expertise in sectors such as industrials, materials (notably the cement and construction material industry), and retail, where they seek out companies with strong pricing power and overlooked growth prospects. His approach leverages in-depth company-level research and takes advantage of market inefficiencies found among lesser-covered, smaller companies.
