MacLean Hadden

MacLean Hadden is an incoming Investment Analyst at Makena Capital Management, LLC, a firm known for its endowment-style, multi-asset class investment approach that serves clients such as endowments, foundations, and family offices. In this role, Hadden is expected to contribute to the research, evaluation, and selection of investment managers and opportunities across public and private markets, including sectors such as equities, fixed income, real assets (real estate and natural resources), hedge funds, and alternative investments.

Prior to this, Hadden served as a Summer Investment Analyst at Makena Capital Management, where he gained experience in institutional asset allocation, multi-asset portfolio construction, and manager due diligence—aligning with Makena's focus on diversified, long-term investment strategies. His exposure to the OCIO (Outsourced Chief Investment Officer) model and risk management provides him with a strong analytical foundation in manager selection and portfolio design.

Hadden holds a Master of Science in Management from Wake Forest University School of Business and a Bachelor of Arts in History with a Math minor from Dartmouth College, complemented by the Tuck Business Bridge Program. His academic background and prior internship equip him with robust quantitative and qualitative skills well-suited for evaluating investments in a range of asset classes, with a particular emphasis on diversified, multi-asset portfolios used by institutional investors.
