Peter Ra

Peter Ra is the Head of High Yield Portfolio Management and Trading at New York Life Investments, based in New York, NY. In this role, he oversees investment strategies, portfolio construction, and trading operations for the firm’s high yield credit products, focusing on delivering strong risk-adjusted returns for institutional and retail clients. With over 15 years of experience at New York Life Investments, Ra previously served as Senior Director in the High-Yield Credit Group, where he was responsible for sector analysis and portfolio management with particular emphasis on leveraged finance and floating-rate loans. He began his career in leveraged finance at HVB, deepening his expertise in below-investment-grade corporate credit and syndicated loans, and has built a track record in managing investments across high yield bonds and leveraged loans for multiple industry sectors.

Ra holds degrees from Yale School of Management and the University of Southern California, providing him with a strong foundation in finance and investment strategy.
