John Bogle

John Bogle, CFA, is a Senior Research Analyst and the TMT (Technology, Media, and Telecommunications) Sector Head at Parnassus Investments, LLC based in San Francisco. In this role, he leads research and investment analysis focused on identifying high-quality companies, with a particular emphasis on the TMT sector, overseeing stock selection and sector outlooks in one of the firm's key growth areas. He contributes to proprietary sector research, including thought leadership on technology-driven disruption and the impact of artificial intelligence across a diverse set of industries such as communications, information technology, and industrials.

John joined Parnassus Investments full-time in 2022 after completing a prior internship with the firm, and has previously held positions at MFS Investment Management, where he gained further experience in mutual fund analysis and portfolio assessment. His investment expertise includes deep sector knowledge of technology, media, telecom, as well as experience with communications services, industrials, and materials, reflecting a broad multi-sector approach with a strong analytical foundation.

He holds an MBA from The Wharton School and a bachelor's degree in economics from Princeton University, with additional certificates in computer science and finance. As a CFA charterholder, John has been recognized for his analytical rigor and forward-looking perspective on investment trends, helping Parnassus assess both the risks and transformative opportunities of technology adoption, ESG integration, and capital allocation strategies in public equities.
