Chris Wallis is the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Investment Officer at Vaughan Nelson Investment Management, based in Houston, TX. In this capacity, he leads the firm’s overall investment strategy and process, manages the investment team, and oversees the portfolio management of client assets. Wallis also serves as a Senior Portfolio Manager and sits on Vaughan Nelson’s Management Committee, ensuring alignment of firm-wide investment objectives and client outcomes.

Wallis brings over 30 years of experience in investment management, financial analysis, and accounting, having started his career at Coopers & Lybrand, followed by Simmons & Company International, before joining Vaughan Nelson in 1999. He holds a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Baylor University. Wallis is a CFA charterholder and CPA, recognized for his leadership and significant contributions to equity portfolio management and value investing.
