Pedro Huerta

Pedro Huerta, CFA, is an Associate Portfolio Manager at Wasatch Advisors LP (Wasatch Global Investors) based in Salt Lake City, Utah. In this capacity, he plays a key role on the firm’s emerging markets research team, contributing to portfolio management and investment strategy, particularly for the Wasatch Greater China Fund and other emerging markets equity products.

Pedro’s expertise centers on emerging markets equities, with a particular focus on the Greater China region, Latin America, and dividend-paying companies. Prior to joining Wasatch in 2016 as a Research Analyst, he held roles as an Equity Research Analyst at PIMCO, where he covered developed and emerging markets, and as a Senior Investment Analyst at Moneda Asset Management specializing in Latin American sectors including Chilean retailers and banks.

Pedro holds an MBA in Finance from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Universidad de los Andes in Santiago. He is also a CFA charterholder and brings multi-lingual capabilities (Spanish and Portuguese) to his investment analysis and client engagement in global markets.
