Scott Purinton serves as Senior Portfolio Manager - Investments at Wellington Shields Capital Management, LLC, where he manages the firm’s Shelburne Falls, MA office. With a client-centered approach, Scott develops and customizes investment strategies tailored to each client's financial situation and evolving goals, focusing particularly on value investing, identifying undervalued or out-of-favor stocks with strong prospects, and incorporating fixed-income vehicles when appropriate.

Scott's expertise includes value-oriented equity investing and portfolio construction, with an emphasis on stocks, both domestic and international, as well as fixed-income securities. His long-standing tenure at Wellington Shields since 1999 and leadership in their Western Massachusetts office underscore his hands-on experience in wealth management and advisory services for individuals and families.

Prior to joining Wellington Shields, Scott gained extensive experience as a business owner in real estate development and land management, and as a power company control room operator. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering and an MBA in Finance and Financial Management Services from the University of Massachusetts Amherst's Isenberg School of Management, further enhancing his technical and analytical investment acumen.
