Chris Cook

Chris Cook is Portfolio Manager and Director of Credit Research at Zazove Associates, LLC, an investment management firm specializing in convertible securities. Based in San Francisco, he oversees portfolio management and credit research functions, with a primary focus on convertible bonds and related fixed income strategies for institutional and high-net-worth clients.

His investment expertise spans convertible securities, fixed income, and credit analysis, reflecting Zazove Associates’ core focus. Cook has played a key role in directing research and executing investment strategies across sectors served by convertible instruments, including technology, healthcare, and consumer industries.

Before joining Zazove Associates in 2000, Cook spent over a decade in the institutional equity division of Credit Suisse First Boston, ultimately serving as West Coast Equity Product Manager, and earlier worked as a Technical Service Engineer at The Dow Chemical Company. He holds an MBA with honors from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management, concentrating in finance and accounting, and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Duke University. Cook is also a CFA charterholder and is recognized for his deep expertise in credit and convertible markets.
