John Idone serves as Head Trader at Zazove Associates, LLC, based in Incline Village, Nevada. In this role, he is responsible for the execution and monitoring of firmwide investments, with a primary focus on convertible bond strategies. He also oversees and maintains senior-level relationships with sell-side counterparties, ensuring trade efficiency and robust market connectivity.

John brings over 39 years of experience in convertible bond investment and trading. Before joining Zazove Associates in 2015, he was Managing Director at CRT Capital Group, where he specialized in credit and fixed income products, and previously held senior trading positions at Credit Suisse and TQA Investors, gaining deep expertise in both buy-side and sell-side environments. His investment expertise centers on convertible securities, credit-sensitive instruments, and the execution of complex, cross-asset trading strategies.

John holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Investment Management from Pace University's Lubin School of Business and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from the State University of New York College at Plattsburgh. He is recognized for his significant contributions to the convertible bond market and for advancing Zazove Associates' capabilities as a leading institutional manager in this specialized asset class.
