Josh Daleo

Josh Daleo is a Principal at Empyrean Capital Partners, LP, based in New York, NY. In this leadership role, he is part of the firm's investment team, contributing to its multi-strategy approach that targets event-driven and special situations opportunities across global markets. He is responsible for identifying, analyzing, and managing investments, with a particular focus on complex credit, equity, and capital structure arbitrage strategies designed to deliver risk-adjusted returns for institutional clients.

Before joining Empyrean Capital Partners in 2015, Josh Daleo spent over a decade at Morgan Stanley, where he was part of the Special Situations Group. In that capacity, he developed deep expertise in distressed, opportunistic credit, and capital structure investments, further enhancing his specialization in event-driven and special situations investing.

Mr. Daleo holds a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor’s degree from Cornell University. His educational background, combined with his extensive experience at both Morgan Stanley and Empyrean, reflects a strong foundation in investment analysis, portfolio management, and navigating complex event-driven scenarios within public and private markets.
