Chengjie Yan

CJ (Chengjie) Yan is an Investment Director at Farallon Capital Management LLC’s Singapore office, where he plays a leading role in research, analysis, and execution of investment strategies across Asia-Pacific markets. His responsibilities include sourcing and evaluating opportunities with a particular focus on public and private equities, as well as special situations, within the region.

Mr. Yan’s sector focus spans a diverse range of industries, having developed experience in sectors such as consumer, financial services, and technology during his time at Farallon and in previous roles. Prior to joining Farallon in 2021, he was an Associate Director at Temasek International, where he managed and executed principal investments, and before that held roles at Restaurant Brands International and as an Investment Banking Associate at Goldman Sachs.

He holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, equipping him with strong analytical and quantitative skills. Mr. Yan is recognized for his cross-sector expertise in capital allocation and for contributing significant insights into equity and special situations investing in Asian markets.
