Paul Goldschmid

Paul Goldschmid is a Partner and Co-Portfolio Manager at King Street Capital Management, based in New York. He serves on the Management Committee, Global Investment Committee, Risk Committee, and Conflicts Committee, helping to oversee the firm's investment strategy, risk management, and portfolio construction, with a focus on credit and event-driven investment opportunities across global markets.

At King Street since 2006 and promoted to Partner in 2012, Goldschmid specializes in distressed credit, special situations, and complex credit opportunities, including less liquid and longer-duration credit instruments. He plays a key role in identifying and managing investments in industries facing significant restructuring, as well as high-yield and distressed debt across multiple sectors.

Before joining King Street, he worked at Compass Partners International, focusing on principal investments and cross-border mergers and acquisitions. He holds a B.A. from Harvard University and both a J.D. and M.B.A. from Columbia University, underlining his expertise in law, finance, and corporate strategy, and is recognized for his contributions to new strategies within credit and alternative asset classes.
