Terry Ing

Terry Ing is a Partner and Head of U.S. Research at King Street Capital Management, where he is responsible for overseeing fundamental research across the firm’s hedge fund, credit strategies, and Rockford Tower CLO platform. He also serves on the Management Committee, Conflicts Committee, and Responsible Investment Committee, helping to drive the firm’s sustainable investment and ESG initiatives. His role includes leadership in developing research excellence to support King Street’s strategies in public and private credit markets, with a focus on complex and misunderstood opportunities.

Prior to joining King Street in 2024, Terry Ing was Co-Head of High Yield, Head of Credit Research, and Portfolio Manager at KKR & Co. Inc., where he managed leveraged credit portfolios, led U.S. leveraged credit research, and helped build out KKR's Sustainable Credit platform. Earlier in his career, he was Executive Vice President and Portfolio Manager for PIMCO’s Global Credit Opportunity Fund, a credit hedge fund strategy. His expertise spans leveraged loans, high yield bonds, credit hedge funds, and ESG-integrated credit investing, covering both the U.S. and international markets.

Terry Ing holds a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of Southern California and an M.A. in Mathematics of Finance from Columbia University. Beyond investment roles, he has been an adjunct professor at Pepperdine University’s Graziadio Business School and serves on the Board of Directors for the Roberts Impact Investing Fund, which partners with REDF, a non-profit CDFI. His career is marked by a commitment to innovation in sustainable credit investing and the development of institutional research teams.
