Young Choi

Young Choi is Partner, Global Head of Trading, and Portfolio Manager of Rockford Tower at King Street Capital Management, based in New York. He oversees global trading strategies, manages portfolios, and serves on the firm’s Management Committee, Global Investment Committee, Risk Committee, and multiple CLO Investment Committees. Choi’s responsibilities specifically include leading Rockford Tower Capital Management, King Street’s specialized CLO (Collateralized Loan Obligation) platform, focusing on US and European leveraged loans, high yield credit, and structured credit instruments.

Before joining King Street in 2006, Choi was a Portfolio Manager and Credit Analyst in Citadel’s Distressed/High Yield Group, managing a $2 billion US leveraged loan and CLO portfolio, and previously worked as an Associate at Bain & Company. His professional expertise centers on distressed credit, leveraged loans, structured finance, and CLO management across both the US and European markets.

Choi holds a B.A. summa cum laude in Economics and a B.S.E. in Electrical Engineering from Duke University. He is recognized for his leadership in credit investing, particularly in CLO securitizations and risk management within global fixed income and alternative investments.
