Albert Kim

Albert Kim serves as Principal and Director of Research and Portfolio Management at Quantinno Capital Management LP in New York. In this role, he leads the firm’s quantitative research efforts and oversees portfolio construction, with a specialization in developing and managing tax-optimized investment strategies for sophisticated and taxable investors. His work centers on U.S. equity markets, focusing on implementing long/short equity and custom tax-aware portfolios, including tax loss harvesting overlays and concentrated equity risk management solutions.

Before joining Quantinno in 2018, Albert was a Quantitative Analyst at Coatue Management and a Data Scientist at Kinnek, where he applied advanced analytics, data engineering, and quantitative techniques to solve complex investment and business challenges. At Quantinno, he leverages this background to drive innovation in portfolio engineering and personalized asset management for high-net-worth clients.

Albert holds dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Economics (Finance) from the Wharton School and Engineering (Computer & Information Science) from the University of Pennsylvania. He is experienced in systematic alpha generation, tax-efficient investing, and the practical application of data science in portfolio management, contributing to Quantinno’s leadership in customized after-tax wealth solutions targeting U.S. equities, particularly among technology, healthcare, and consumer sectors.
