Fernando de Frutos serves as the Chief Investment Officer at Boreal Capital Management, based in Miami, FL, where he leads the firm's global investment strategy and portfolio management activities. He is responsible for overseeing asset allocation and the selection of investment products and advisory services, focusing on international wealth management and delivering tailored solutions for high-net-worth clients.

With over 20 years of experience in international wealth management, Fernando has developed deep expertise in multi-asset portfolio construction, alternative investments, equities, and fixed income. Prior to joining Boreal, he held senior roles at Monitor Deloitte as a Senior Manager in financial services strategy, and at ABN AMRO Bank as Head of Investment Products and Investment Advisory, focusing on product innovation and advisory platforms.

He holds a PhD in International Relations and Political Economy from the Universität St. Gallen, an MBA from IMD, a Master in Financial Markets from Escuela de Finanzas BBVA, a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Universidad Nacional de Educación a Distancia, and a licentiate in Physics from Universidad Complutense de Madrid. His multidisciplinary background and CFA designation underpin his expertise in navigating complex investment environments and delivering innovative asset management solutions for clients across global markets.
