James Kacic

James (Jim) Kacic currently serves as Chief Operating Officer and Managing Partner at MAI Capital Management in Cleveland, OH, and previously held the roles of President and Chief Financial Officer at the firm. In his current capacity, Kacic oversees mergers and acquisitions, corporate and client accounting, information technology, human resources, administration, and leads the Shared Services group supporting the firm's infrastructure and national expansion strategy.

Kacic brings over 35 years of experience in finance and accounting primarily focused on the financial services and banking sectors, with a deep expertise in M&A execution, operational integration, and strategic business planning. Prior to joining MAI in 2008, he was Chief Administrative Officer and Senior Managing Director at Victory Capital Management, where he led finance, operations, technology, equity trading, and overall business development.

He holds a BA in Finance from Bowling Green State University. Notably, he has helped drive MAI’s significant M&A and integration activities that fueled the firm’s national expansion and asset growth, supporting clients across high-net-worth individuals, families, professional athletes, and entertainers. Outside MAI, Kacic serves as Trustee and Chairman of the Board for Achievement Centers for Children, contributing to its strategic planning and investment committees.
