Seth Shalov

Seth Shalov served as a partner and Managing Director at MAI Capital Management in Cleveland, OH, where he focused on portfolio management and risk strategies for the firm's clients. His responsibilities included overseeing investment strategies, especially in risk management and options, and mentoring younger colleagues during his 17 years at MAI.

Shalov’s investment expertise spanned risk management, options strategies, and multi-asset portfolios—he notably co-managed the MAI Managed Volatility Fund, which focused on utilizing options-based approaches for managing volatility across asset classes such as equities, fixed income, and alternatives. He had prior roles as Managing Partner and Chief Investment Officer at DaVinci Capital and as Chief Investment Officer at Bank of Tokyo Trust, overseeing accounts exceeding $1.5 billion.

Shalov earned a BA in Political Science from Rutgers University.
