Luke Elifson

Luke Elifson is an Equity Trader and Assistant Portfolio Manager at Mairs & Power, Inc., based in Minneapolis, MN, where he joined the firm in 2022. In his current role, he supports multiple investment managers with equity trading operations and assists in portfolio management, drawing on industry experience since 2017. His responsibilities include executing trading strategies, reviewing accounts, and contributing to the overall asset management process.

Elifson’s investment focus centers on equity securities, with a particular emphasis on companies headquartered in Minnesota and the Upper Midwest—a regional sector specialty that is a cornerstone of Mairs & Power’s investment strategy. He works closely with the firm’s mutual funds and individually managed portfolios, emphasizing quality long-term stock selection within this geographic area.

Before joining Mairs & Power, Elifson spent several years as head coach and assistant coach of boy’s tennis at St. Paul Academy and Summit School, demonstrating leadership and mentoring skills outside the financial sector. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration and Management from the University of St. Thomas, equipping him with a strong foundation in business strategy and investment analysis.
