Ken Kailin

Ken Kailin is Executive Vice President and Senior Portfolio Manager at Oak Ridge Investments LLC, based in Northbrook, IL. Since joining the firm in 2002, he has been a key member of the executive team, co-managing the Mid Cap Growth equity strategy and contributing to equity research across the firm’s investment platforms. As a member of the firm’s Executive Committee, he oversees portfolio construction and investment decisions for a range of U.S. equity strategies, including Mid Cap Growth, Small/Mid Cap Growth, Large Cap Growth, All Cap Growth, and Dividend Growth, focusing predominantly on growth-oriented U.S. equities.

Kailin’s specific expertise centers on fundamental equity analysis and portfolio management within the mid- and small-cap segments, leading Oak Ridge’s Mid Cap Growth investment strategy to target companies with strong earnings growth and robust fundamentals. His investment process seeks companies with sustainable business models and competitive positions within their sectors, leveraging a rigorous, research-driven approach. While his primary focus is U.S. equities, the strategies he manages may also include allocations to ADRs of non-U.S. based companies traded on U.S. exchanges.

Prior to Oak Ridge, Ken Kailin served as a partner and portfolio manager at Skyline Asset Management, where he was responsible for small-cap growth portfolios, and earlier as a portfolio manager and senior research analyst at Mesirow Financial. He holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Chicago and a BS in Finance from Indiana University, and is a CFA charterholder, reflecting his deep expertise in security analysis and portfolio management.
