Emilie Hill

Emilie Hill, CFA, serves as a Principal and Portfolio Manager at ZWJ Investment Counsel Inc., based in Atlanta, Georgia. In this role, she is a member of the firm’s Investment Committee and is responsible for managing client portfolios, making asset allocation decisions, and developing personalized investment strategies. Her work focuses on constructing and overseeing equity, fixed income, and balanced portfolios tailored to the specific goals and risk profiles of a diverse clientele, including individuals, families, trusts, and institutions.

Hill has been with ZWJ Investment Counsel since 2014, beginning her investment career with the firm as an associate before advancing to her current leadership position. She is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and an active member of both the CFA Institute and CFA Society Atlanta. Hill’s professional expertise encompasses U.S. equities, municipal and corporate bonds, and the integration of personalized financial planning within discretionary asset management, with a reputation for prioritizing client outcomes and long-term risk-adjusted returns.

She holds dual Bachelor’s degrees, graduating summa cum laude in Economics, International Studies, and French from the University of Mississippi, and has also studied finance at Sciences Po in Paris. Beyond her portfolio management responsibilities, Hill is passionate about financial education and empowerment, particularly for women, contributing thought leadership through her newsletter and public speaking engagements.
