Tri Nguyen

Tri Nguyen is the Sr. Investment Officer - Macroeconomics at the Texas Permanent School Fund Corporation in Austin, Texas, where he leads macroeconomic research, portfolio construction, and strategic asset allocation for one of the largest public endowments in the United States. In this role, he is responsible for guiding investment decisions across asset classes, with a particular focus on macroeconomic analysis that informs allocation within public equities, fixed income, real estate, and private equity to support stable, long-term returns for Texas public schools.

Prior to this, Nguyen served as Portfolio Manager at the Texas PSF from 2018 to 2024, where he managed multi-asset investment strategies, and was previously Vice President, Director of Equity Research at Sentinel Trust Company, LBA, overseeing equity research and contributing to portfolio management from 2004 to 2018. His expertise encompasses both public and private markets, global equities, and macroeconomic strategy development for institutional investors.

Nguyen holds a degree in Finance and Accounting from the University of Houston's C.T. Bauer College of Business, equipping him with a robust foundation in business and investment analysis. Throughout his career, he has distinguished himself through rigorous research, a disciplined investment process, and a focus on achieving long-term objectives for mission-driven capital pools.
