Daniel Becker, CFA, is Principal and Co-Chief Investment Officer at Castleark Management LLC in Chicago, Illinois, where he co-leads the firm’s investment strategy and portfolio management. He plays a central role in overseeing Castleark’s large cap growth investment team and is actively involved in research and portfolio decisions across multiple equity strategies, particularly in growth equities. His responsibilities include guiding investment philosophy, asset allocation, and risk management for institutional and high-net-worth clients.

Becker specializes in U.S. large cap growth equities, leveraging deep expertise in equity research, asset allocation, and portfolio construction. He is known for his analytical rigor and hands-on approach to sector and industry analysis, with a strong focus on technology, healthcare, and consumer sectors relevant to growth investing.

His career spans more than three decades in the asset management industry, including senior roles as Senior Vice President and Senior Portfolio Manager at Waddell & Reed/Ivy Investments, and earlier as Senior Equity Research Analyst at Waddell & Reed, Inc. Daniel holds an M.S. in Finance and a B.S. in Economics with Mathematical Emphasis from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and began his career as an Investment Analyst at the State of Wisconsin Investment Board during graduate studies.
